Muserno

Privacy policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

The short version

Muserno collects no personal information. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, it doesn't connect to any server of ours, and the songs you open and the takes you record stay on your computer.

Your songs

When you open an audio file, Muserno keeps a copy in its own library on your computer, so it's still there if you move the original. Your playlists, markers, saved loops and settings are stored there too. Nothing is uploaded.

The microphone

Muserno asks to use your microphone or audio interface for two things only: the tuner and recording yourself. Your takes are saved on your computer, encrypted with a key kept in your Mac's Keychain or Windows' Credential Manager, and are never sent anywhere. You can withdraw the permission in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone (Mac) or Settings › Privacy & security › Microphone (Windows).

Purchases

Purchases in Muserno are handled entirely by Apple (Mac App Store) or Microsoft (Microsoft Store). We never see your name, payment details or account; the store only tells the app what you own, so it can be unlocked and restored. Their privacy policies cover those purchases: Apple, Microsoft.

Crash reports from Apple and Microsoft

If you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in your system's settings, Apple or Microsoft may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics about Muserno. They don't identify you, and we use them only to fix problems. You can turn this off in your system's privacy settings.

If you write to us

When you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use them only to answer you.

Sharing with others

We don't sell, rent or share information about you with anyone, and the app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking code from other companies. The only companies involved are the ones described above, under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep things, and deleting them

Your rights

Under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you (in practice, only emails you sent us), and you can complain to a data protection authority; in Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. Write to [email protected] and we'll answer within 30 days.

Children

The app collects no information from anyone, children included.

Who we are

BeatsAround is run by Simone Alaimo, an independent developer based in Italy, who is responsible for this policy and for any personal information described in it. Contact: [email protected].

Changes

If the app starts handling information differently, for example through a new feature, this page will be updated before that version is released, with a new date at the top.
